Mohlers request change of venue

Three members of the Mohler family accused of sexually abusing children decades ago were back in court Monday, asking a judge to grant their change of venue requests.

David Mohler, Burrell Mohler Jr. and Roland Mohler, facing a number of charges including rape, want their trials moved out of Lafayette County.

Lafayette County Prosecutor Kellie Ritchie said most or all of the change of venue requests will likely be decided on March 18.

The trials of their father, Burrell Mohler Sr., 77, and their uncle, Darrel Mohler, 72, have already been moved to Clay County.

Also accused in the case is brother Jared Mohler.
