Elvis will be in the building for House of Hope Gala and Auction

The House of Hope 2010 gala committee continues to update plans for the 14th Annual House of Hope Gala and Auction. The event will be held Saturday March 20 at the Higginsville Community Center, 101 W. 21st St., Higginsville. Ticket price is $25 or $250 to reserve a table of eight.

Don Darnell, an Elvis impersonator, has agreed to be the emcee for the evening. Yes, Elvis will be in the house that evening. Jim Martin of Lexington has agreed to serve as deejay. Jim provides a wide range of music for all dancers.

The committee is happy to report that Disney World has contributed four one-day passes for this year’s auction. Eskew Fine Jewelers of Independence is sponsoring a drawing for a four-caret, princess cut diamond tennis bracelet. Jeanie Moore of Odessa was the lucky winner of the diamond necklace last year.
